Manual lessons
Clutch and gear tuition taught patiently, ending in a licence that covers every car on the road.
Explore manual lessonsFlexible lesson options for manual and automatic learners. Pay lesson by lesson, or prepay a block of hours for a lower rate — with no contract either way.
Some students want to pay as they go and keep every option open. Others would rather prepay a block and bring the hourly rate down. Neither locks you in, and you can switch between them at any point.
Prices are the same for manual and automatic. Full figures are in the table below.
The same rates apply whether you learn in a manual or an automatic, and there are no booking fees or admin charges on top.

Explore manual lessonsNo gears to master, so more attention on the road. Usually the faster route to a pass.
Explore automatic lessonsIn a hurry instead? An intensive driving course covers the same ground over a short, concentrated period.
Not everyone can take two weeks off to learn to drive, and not everyone wants to. Flexible lessons let you build skill steadily while keeping your job, your studies and your weekends.
You book a regular slot with your instructor, take two hours at a time, and pay as you go. If a week gets busy, you move the lesson. If you want to speed up, you add sessions. There is nothing to unwind and nothing to renegotiate.
Tell us your area, your transmission and when you are free. We will confirm prices and match you with an instructor near you.

Two hours is the standard and it is what we recommend. By the time you have driven to a practice area, a one-hour lesson is largely over. Single hours are possible if two does not work for you.
Yes. Ten prepaid hours cost £360 rather than £380, so you save £20. It is never required though — plenty of students pay lesson by lesson from start to finish.

Once or twice a week works well for most people. Less than once a fortnight and you spend too much of each lesson recovering ground.
